Happy Birthday Canada!
I'm enjoying a wonderful, hot day off from work and Max is doing what he does best.....napping.
All across the country there are parades and tonight there will be lots of fireworks. I'm thinking of heading down to the Quay to watch our local fireworks.
I'm so proud to be Canadian.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

We are 141 years old today! I know - some pubs in Germany have roofs that are 250 years old!
Nice to have a day off, and enjoy the perks of my country...freedom...no wiretaps (unless CSIS is so terribly bored and overstaffed that they need the entertainment of my non-phone calls!)

I guess this is the first time I've paid attention to Canada Day. I heard about it on the news this morning and thought of all of our Canadian Pet Talkers. I didn't realize Canada was quite that young.
