Can't believe a year has pasted already Toby.
I swear, it feels like it was only yesterday that I ended your pain.
The hurt of loosing you still strong as ever.
I remember at this time of the morning I was calling the vet to make the appointment and when I found out that they would come to the house, it almost eased the pain..... a little.
Knowing that your time on earth would end at home where you were most comfortable and it ended up being under your favorite pine tree. That made it beautiful!
I love you Toby and miss you like crazy, we all do!
I'm taking mom and dad out to dinner tonight, and then I'm sure we'll go back to the house and visit your grave.
Buddy Jr. is a great little dog! He's nowhere NEAR the protector that you were, heck I think Leroy (the cat) scares people more than him!
No matter, because I know you're always near, and you'll always protect the house. On Memorial Day I got to mom and dad's house before anyone else, and when I opened my door to get out of my car I swore I heard the jingle of your dog tags. Was that you? I sure hope so!

A year, already? Oh sweet Toby, do look in on your family today, and nuzzle them so they know you are near. This is a beautiful thread, Angie, the pics of her & her rat made me smile.
