Thursday #267- A Thursday to Remember.

    Hi everyone!

I thought a little somber Thursday was in order. Nothing too dark, just a little moment to think about the Rainbow bridge and all the loved ones that have made the trip.

Tears are O.K., stories better and a few cyber toasts would be quite all right!

I know we aren't supposed to be too serious here at the bar, but I thought one day out of the year would be nice just for remembering....

Belly up to the bar, we have kleenex, hugs and a nip or two!

    DONE!

Sadly this is a fitting Thursday's, as we just found out that they are taking one of my co-workers off of life support.

I'll take a large Irish, and a moment to reflect on a singularly stubborn dutchman.
The one eyed man in the kingdom of the blind wasn't king, he was stoned for seeing light.

Hmmmm ... Now I wonder if maybe Bowser was "Dutch"?

Fur Sure that boy had a bit of a "stubborn streak" not very well hidden under all that Fluff!

Selective Hearing? ... Honed to purfection! ... The ONLY times he heard "Here, Bowz"
was at dinner times; otherwise you'd think he was stone deaf!
He'd be doing his skippity-do, bippity-bopp, jig and a jog across the front yard -
headed off to *hunt inna woods - be rite back, Dad*.
Calling was futile ... he must have *hunted* with his noze!

I'd try a Door SLAM! --- I could *rattle* the windows and prolly *SHAKE* the ground
    he was skipping over ...
NO reaction, other than maybe that darn Fluffie Tail *wagged* a lil harder!

    Selective Hearing? ... a twice-daily art form ...
    * Open the hall clozit door - he colud hear that! (Krunch can stored inside)
    * Open the Krunch garbage can - he ALWAYS heard that!
    * Later in life, his grub was "Steak inna Kan" Rx: ($$$) Stuff ...
. . The *Pssssssht!* sound when the can opener punched into the lid?
. . He could hear that from anywhere in the Ranch Howze!
    * Whisper "wanna eat?" to Clipp & Clopp --- Bowzie's tags would start to *jingle*
    * Lift the lid on the Cookie Bin ... and hear his tags *jingle*

    < sniff >

    MISS Ya, Bowz!!

    /s/ New Dad

Gosh, I know more people in heaven now than I do on earth!

I'll drink a toast to Lucy! Lucy was one of my cats. One of her cute tricks was to paw the floor by her water dish before she would drink. Luke picked up her habit and has passed it down.

Every time I see Chester doing Lucy's trick I can't help but smile. He never met her but she lives on because Luke passed down her trick.

Have fun at the Bridge Sweetie!!! Keep an eye on Leroy and all the others for me, ok!
No matter what anyone does, someone some where will be offended some how!!!!

I think a carrot cake would be appropriate, with some blueberry tea, our mayor's favorite.

My high school friend Jim ... you were remembered very fondly Tuesday night at the spring choir concert. I know God saw fit to call you home, but He called a lot sooner than we would have liked. Here's to you.

Fur-niblings - Jasmine, Poco, Churchill and Winston ... thank you for the unconditional love you showed while you were with us. Here's to you.
Praying for peace in the Middle East, Ukraine, and around the world.

Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!
