I got an appt. for this afternoon at 4:45 (double or triple booked, but oh well), for my sweetie, Honeybun. I was petting him today, and felt matted fur, or whatever, on his belly, so I picked him up and there is dried blood on his belly!!! There also looks to be a puncture wound or something!He was flinching as I was touching him and the more I looked, I saw that his skin, not where the puncture or whatever it is, is all deep red under his fur in that area!
I know Zachariah has been chasing him and cornering him, and so I'm wondering if he tried to get away from Zach and ran into something sharp, or fell from somewhere?
I'm soooo worried!!! I have tutoring with my student today, so I just emailed her and said "ROADTRIP", because she can't miss any more hours (she cancels a lot). I can't get ahold of her on the phone, or by email, so that's getting me upset too. I can't let Honey wait because she isn't responding. Ugh.
It's 3pm now, and I'm so impatient and worried. I hope there is nothing severely wrong with him. If it was because of Zach chasing him, that will be the straw that broke the camel's back. Honeybun is old and FIV+, and he can't afford to get sick or get his immune system down... plus he's so gentle and never hurts a soul.
Keep us in your thoughts and prayers, and hope that Honey is ok. He's just hovering at my feet, which is normally doesn't do.
