Update On Pumpkin And Her Puppes *pics Included*

Well, yet again, it has been so long! I am so sorry. This really stinks not having a computer at home. Anyway, Pumpkin's puppies are 5 wks old today. 5 of them are doing great. They are starting to eat on thier own now. Pumpkin is not the best mom, but she keeps them alive. She would rather be next to me or on my couch then feeding them. She has been this way for about 2 wks now. We have to force her to stay in the pen with her babies. Puppy number 6 is not doing so well. He was the last one born, the one that took the longest to get to breathe. He has some sort of neurological problem. He can not walk. He was doing really good up until Sunday, then he stopped nursing and eating on his own. I took him to the vet yesterday. He is very dehydrated so she gave him some fluids and a penicylin shot (can't spell today sorry). I have to feed him puppy formula in a syringe every 3-4 hours for about a week to see if he gains his strength, and he is on liquid Clavamox. Then we will work on his legs. He is too young to have x-rays determine what is wrong. Basically, his back legs are toed in and his front paws fold under themself. He also has been having seizures or nerve spasms. It sort of looks like a type of scoliosis of the spine the vet said. She also knows people that can build a cart for him if he does pull through and is unable to walk. I have him seperated from the rest. He is in a large tote with a heating pad to keep him warm. I pray he will make it, but it is touch and go. Lots of prayers for this guy please.

Well here are pictures of the pups:

Thor (brown and black) and Fluffy (he is a boy, but the only one that is fluffy!)

Peanut (on the left) and Chicka

    Snoopy

And our sweet sick lil' Captain

That's them. I pray we can save Captain, but I am really not sure. He is pretty bad. I will keep you posted as much as I can. It is really hard to get to a computer lately.

OMG... poor Captian.... I'm so sorry he's not well.
I pray for the best for him, whatever that may be.

Wow is Snoopy HUGE!! He looks like he's from a different litter!
Pumpkin, we know you didn't want to be a mommy, but you are honey and you need to be a good mommy for your puppies swetie pie!

Bless you Tracy for taking her in and making sure her puppies are healthy!

Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Prayers for all the puppies especially Captain. Poor little guy. Pumpkin, now you stay and feed your puppies, they need you.
