    I dislike you FTD

Last week my husband ordered me a beautiful bouquet of flowers from FTD. He set the delivery date as Feb 14. All correspondence from them said that they would be delivered on Feb 14... When 6pm rolled around we went poking around the website to find out delivery times. According to their website they can deliver until 9pm on holidays.... Ok... so it's 6:20am on Feb *15* and still no flowers They had better give us our money back. Those flowers are NOT cheap

To their credit: I did get to speak with a very nice lady who was very helpful. Unfortuately she couldn't issue the refund to me because my husband's name is on the order instead of mine but she typed up a report for us. Hubby has to call back later but she said for us to choose the "place an order" option to get to talk to someone faster. She assured me that the flowers will be arriving today but it shouldn't be a problem to get a refund even if I accept delivery because my problem is that they are late. In the meantime I got an email from them stating that the flowers were delayed to today and the offer of $10 off my next order no thanks.
Soooo hopefully once my hubby gets home he can call them up and we can get our money back

They should have notified you earlier that they would be delayed. I can see the discount, but as long as you are receiving the flowers, you are getting your goods, so I can't understand a refund. If you DO NOT get the flowers, I'd say, then there's a cause for a refund. I don't understand why someone would feel entitled to get something for nothing, just because it's late.

Also to FTD's credit, they weren't technically the ones who were late: the florist who they contracted with was. They submit their orders to a Florist in your local area, and they are the ones who fill the order and deliver. Find out which local florist handled the order and put out the word locally not to use them because they are late in their deliveries. That will hurt them more than anything

Glad they are going to let you take delivery of your flowers and issue a refund.

We didn't order Happy Friday flowers, we ordered Valentine's Day flowers. FTD guaranteed that they would be delivered yesterday, even if they had to substitute different flowers to ensure that we got them on time. We placed the order with plenty of time remaining. If FTD's contractors can't get the deliveries made on time then it is FTD's responsibility to find a new flower shop. I'm not going to pay for something that I didn't ask for and I didn't ask for Happy Friday flowers.
I shouldn't have to pay for their mistakes and I don't intend to.

Seems like getting so upset about it will just ruin the effect of getting flowers from your husband at all. You husband did something nice for you, granted they are late, but they are still coming. The THOUGHT of his, behind the gift, seems like it would be a nicer thing to concentrate on and let the anger part of it go. It's not THAT big a deal. They will still come, they will still be pretty, and you will get your money back (although I have to agree with Jenn Librarian with her take on it). It unfortunate it didn't make it on time, but it's really not that drastic. I hope you can enjoy them when they come, rather than being so angry they are a day late, that would be a shame not to be able to enjoy them in the end.

Thanks Jess for the great sig of my kids!

I'm very pleased with my husband for ordering me flowers. I'm delighted. This has nothing to do with thoughtfulness or enjoyment.
I don't enjoy being made fun of and having eyes rolled at me. We paid for a service on a specific day and they did not provide it. I will enjoy the flowers when (if) they get here but I am not going to pay for a service that we didn't receive as ordered. A discount would not be acceptable because we simply would not have paid ANY money to have flowers delivered on a random day such as the day AFTER a holiday.
Goodness gracious, do you have so much money that you don't care about not getting exactly what you pay for??

I would feel unjustified getting a full refund AND accepting the flowers. Since you do not want happy friday flowers the honest thing to do is refuse delivery imho. If it was me I would take the discount and enjoy the flowers.

For my brothers funeral the flowers were late AND they forgot the banner across the huge white carnation cross that I ordered and I got a discount on my next order, I did not get the money back, the arrangement was over 200 dollars.
don't breed or buy while shelter dogs die....

    I have been frosted!

    Thanks Kfamr for the signature!

I wasn't trying to roll my eyes at you, or make fun of you... I simply don't understand someone wanting to get a service for free whether it was early or late. I could understand them giving a partial refund for the delivery being not on time. That would be acceptable... and there's probably a clause somewhere on their website or where ever, that gives them leeway for early/late deliveries, especially when it concerns holidays like this one.

The flowers that were sent to me (ordered by my father a week earlier) came on Wednesday to my job, when we had a snow day, and I wasn't there to receive them. Did I complain? No. Did I say, take them back and deliver them tomorrow when I'm there, and when it's officially Valentine's Day? No. The secretaries in the office enjoyed them for the day, and I picked them up the next morning. Even if it had snowed on Thursday and we would have had off and I couldn't have seen them till Friday, it wouldn't have mattered. It was the thought that counted, and I'm happy I got flowers at all, lol. They were Valentine's Day flowers, no matter the day they were delivered on.

Do I have that much money that I don't care.. of course not, but I wouldn't demand a service for free either, just because it was a day late or early, to me that's just being cheap. And no, I'm not calling you cheap, I'm saying how I would feel doing that.
