It's Storm's 11th Anniversary & 12th Birthday Today!!! (1-11-08)

Hi, I adopted Storm 11 years ago from the Humane Society. He was out with the strays even though he had an owner. They said that he was abandoned by his owner

and a neighbor brought him to the Humane Society. Later his owner came by but said that he didn't want Storm any more.

I don't know what his original name was but they named him Storm and I thought that it was a great name for him so I kept it.

He actually chose me by sticking out his paw to get my attention. I held him and he was purring and very friendly. He was exactly what I was looking for.

They said that he was 2 years old but my vet said that he couldn't be any older than 1. He became very sick shortly after I got him and he had a very bad URI, fleas, coccidia, ear mites, and probaby some other internal parasites as well.

I paid $60 for his adoption fee and another $200 or so for tests and medicine to get him well again. I'm so glad that he chose me because some people would have probably just returned him since he had so many things wrong with him.

I weaned him back to health and we formed a very strong bond.

We still have this bond and he'll always be my #1 kitty and my heart kitty. He's also a very sensitive and intelligent cat and he can tell when I'm not feeling well. He becomes very concerned about me. I'll never understand how someone could just abandon a wonderful cat like Storm.

I guess he was meant to be my cat.

I didn't know his birthday so I chose the day that he came into my life as his birthday.
