Yippeee I got a new camera!!

My Christmas present from my hubby and son, Jordan, was a Nikon D40x. I know the pictures probably aren't the greatest as I am just getting the hang of using it. But I thought I would share with you guys some of my practice shots, hope you don't mind
This is my Boo's serious side.

I always love when I see everyone else do the close up eye shots so I thought I would give it a try...

This one could use some adjustment but just look how intently he stares at me waiting to give him the okay to eat his cookie.

    Champ is next.

Cameras always make her nervous, notice the submissive paw up.

Her eye close up (no boogers today )

She was drooling all over the floor by the time I got her to sit still enough for this one shot.

and finally just a picture of our pretty girl.

    Chopper's coming up next

Whatcha gots mommy? a nu camra?

    mmmmm, cookies

    Chopper's close up.

Chopper telling the little yapper next door to be quiet.

and finally a more sentimental shot. Chopper had been sitting on my lap and this is what he left me....needless to say all three have deeply embeded these all over my heart.

I surely hope you all enjoyed and please bare with me as I work on my techniques and get this new camera down. You may see a lot of my gang over the nex few weeks...Oh and if anyone has any tips please do not hesitate to share

YAY! New cameras always mean lots of new pictures and you know I (well, actually, all of us!) love pictures! Keep practicing and posting. We will enjoy them all! I haven't even read the instruction book all the way through on mine and I've had it two years. I must really do that one of these days. My pictures just might improve! You are doing just fine. I love them all!!!

WOW! Congratulations! Your pictures look great to me! It's so nice seeing big, clear shots of your babies! Something about that little Chopper just grabs me though!

Champ, sweetie. Please don't be nervous. The flashy thing lets mom show all of us how precious you are. Duke, I love the sidewise look you are giving mom in the first picture - I wonder what you're thinking? And Chopper, you are just such a cutie. I carry all of your paw prints around in my heart too. Merry Christmas! (hughughug)

Your new camera takes great pics! I loved getting to see all your dogs up close and personal. I adore Chopper's close up. Anyone want to caption that?

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Thank you everyone. I guess they came out alright for the first real try. I love having them as my subjects, they don't criticize my work and all I have to do is give them a cookie Don't worry I am sure you will see lots more, I would like to get some outside shots but our weather has been pretty crummy.
