    Hi - I'm new here!

Hi everyone! I'm Holly and I have two cats, which I will try to get pictures of on here ASAP. I have been reading this for a couple of years and I love it! So fun to see everyone's kitties and read about their adventures. My cats are Birdie and Homer. We've had Birdie since 2002, after we had to have our beloved Kitty put to sleep because of feline leukemia. Birdie is approximately 7 years old and is a black/grey/brown tabby. She's a spoiled little girl, but we love her to pieces. Homer is a stray who came to our home a couple of months ago. We started feeding him outside, with the hopes that we would be able to bring him in to be Birdie's brother. Gradually, we introduced the two, had Homer checked at the vet, found out he was already "fixed" and he has been in the house for about a month now. There have been some tense moments with Birdie, as she was not too keen on sharing her kingdom with a new cat, but now they get along fine. They both have slept with my husband and I since day one and there is nothing like having two kitties keeping you warm and toasty at night, especially in the cold MN winters! Oh - Homer is a large orange and white kitty, almost a third bigger than Birdie, and the vet figured he's about 2 years old. It's such a joy having two kitties to share our lives with. I will post again when I have pictures to share! Nice to be a part of this community.

Hi Holly and welcome to PT!!! Both of your cats sound adorable and I'm glad that they're getting along now. I look forward to hearing more about them and also seeing their pictures. You're going to love this place and it's very addicting too.

    Welcome

Welcome Holly, I find that the only thing better than having 2 to snuggle with, is to have 6 or more. They will keep you toasty at night. We have 2 of the 8 they like to sleep in the front room.

You never announced it but your name is Gottabefirst? Funny! Welcome to PT nonetheless.
    Blessings,
