Need help! * Not A great Update #22*

Sorry I don't come to this side of the bored very often, but please help us. Our kitty has pretty much completly stoped eating. Keshaw did this same thing last year (when we went on vacation), but we were able to get her back eating. But this year when we went on vacation in July, we also added a new dog to the family. I am hoping it's just this transition. When we got Sage in July and went on vacation she was HUUUGE. Now she is just skin and bones.

We syringe fed her today and yesterday with kitty formula. We have bought dry kitten food, and she ate like 10 pieces, and then stopped. She tried a little bit of can food, but mostly ate the gravy, untill yesterday and she didn't even lick the gravy. She has tried a little bit of cat treats. The thing is when she ate the food, we didn't force it on her. But now she is so weak she can't jump up at her normal spot to eat her food. If we offer it, she seems to just reject.

So we have a couple ideas, but are main thought it that she has tape worms, and they have took over her body. We are going to try and get her in tormorrow to the vet. But honestly at this point, I feel like my baby is to far gone, at only age 7. Please if you can help me, or just keep her in your prayers, that would be perfect.

This was her last year, when she started eating again.

Make sure she gets water. I don't know if tapeworms could do that to a kitty, I hope the vet can see you!

Can you take a poop sample with you in a baggie? That will save some time.

The vet may recommend A&D wet food - it is a post op food that is just crammed with nutrients. My mom used it for one of her cats - mixed with some warm water and syringe-fed.

    When was Sage's last checkup?

She is a beautiful girl, and I am sending PT Prayers her way.

She has been drinking, but I don't think she has used the litter box, I would have to check. She has been constantly cuddling with me and sleeping with me at night. Which she never ever does. Sage is the dog, Keshaw is the cat. I honestly don't know when Keshaw's last check up was, it's probally way over due.
Thanks so much Ashley for the siggy!

I hope you didn't take me rudy Catty. I am just a emotional wreak, I hope my little girl doesn't have to be put down. I have tried so hard to keep my emotions in check.

I'm so sorry to hear this. When my RB Pepper stopped eating, I had to syringe feed him with the Hills A/D mixed with water that Catty1 had already mentioned. Sometimes this will get the cat used to eating again so then they'll start eating again on their own. She'll remain in my thoughts and prayers.
