President of Iran to visit Ground Zero...your thoughts??

I'm watching the news right now and just saw a piece on the President Iran is going to speak at Columbia University and visit Ground Zero.

A LOT of people are up in arms about his visit. He has said that the Holacaust is a farce and that Israel should be wiped off the map.

My opinion is that he should stay away from Ground Zero, as a visit would be like spitting on the graves of all the victims of 911.

    Anyone else care to comment??

Actually, his visit to ground zero was canned by the NYPD.

    LH,

Good!! I'm watching 60 Minutes right now as they interview him. He is a smug 6a$tard that danced around every question he was asked. He was asked what, if any endearing quality he saw in Bush and he couldn't answer.

Perhaps just perhaps some common ground can be found. Perhaps he will look into our eyes and see kindness, love, laughter and hope and not just gun fodder.

Being that Iran is actually run by the mullahs, the President is nothing more than a figurehead. It matters not what he sees during his propoganda tour.

The decision was made by local, not national government. I would have wanted to be in charge of security for his visit, and apparently the NYPD didn't want to, either.

I also heard that the place he wanted to visit is not open to the public now anyway, and I get the distinct impression his even expressing a wish to visit it was done for the ensuing hullabaloo it would cause - and which the media and the American public has played right into, and was not genuine in the first place.

Gee Whiz! I don't think the Prez of Iran enjoyed himself very much. I'll just cry buckets and buckets of tears over it!

I think he should stay in Iran!!! Quite frankly, I was afraid the wreath he wanted to put at ground zero would have been for the terrorists!!!

I DO NOT LIKE THAT MAN AT ALL!

Don't see how she is stereotyping all Iranians by giving her opinion on their president.

No one is stereotyping Iranians. All comments made here have been about their "elected" president, and the mullahs who actually run the country.
