    Tango

Tango woke up this morning and can't move/has no control of her entire back end at all. She just lays down crying, howling, shaking, and panting. We'll be going to the vet's in about an hour (when they open). I'd appreciate it if you could all keep my girl in your thoughts in the mean time though. The same thing happened to her brother (Winter) last November, and he ultimately had to be PTS.

Most recent (and last) update just incase you can't find it:

He said there's a possibility that she had a tumor on her spinal cord (but wouldn't know unless he opened her up), or she had degenerative disc disease. He's 98% sure it was the latter, and either way, the outcome wouldn't have been good. When I saw her today, she had no feeling at all from about the base of her neck, down her back. It was awful.

I hope nobody thinks we should have tried harder. We did what we could, and putting her to sleep was our best option and the best decision for her. She wouldn't have been happy at all being stuck in a wheel chair for the remainder of her life - she just isn't that type of dog.

You did the right thing, only you knew how much running and playing was important to Tango, and we knew she was in pain.

Now she is free, in no pain, happy and whole again, chasing butterflies at the Rainbow Bridge, I just know it!

I'm so sorry. I can't imagine what it'd be like to have such a sudden loss. My heart goes out to you and poor little sister Dance who probably wonders where Tango went. Rest peacefully sweet Tango.
