    Blackfoot

    It hasn't really even sunk in yet that she's gone, but it'll be a whole week come tomorrow. We had to put her down as we couldn't stand by and watch her suffer anymore. Old age had taken it's toll on her once youthful body. My earliest memory is of the day we got that dog and man wonderful memories since then are colored by her presence. She was an amazing dog, so very loyal and loving, never sking for much. Rest in peace, baby girl. We'll miss you forever.

    I'm so sorry for your loss. Blackfoot was a very pretty girl and lived a long life. She must have been well cared for and I'm sure loved very much. You will see her again some day.{hugs}

    I looked at Blackfoot's Dogster. What a sweet looking dog she was. Nothing beats the love of a special dog or the hurt that comes when they're gone. Rest peacefully, sweetie. All our RB dogs will take special care of her.

    I did the right thing by setting you free
    But the pain is very deep.
    If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

    I hear you whimper in your sleep
    I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
    It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

    Fur as dark as the night.

    Paws of love that follow me.
    In my heart you'll forever be.

    Blackfoot was gorgeous. I feel your pain and am sending you hugs. Losing a beloved pet is one of the hardest things in the world. My RB Cody is the designated "Watcher Over The Bridge", so know that Blackfoot will be well taken care of.

    Thanks everybody for your kind words of encouragement in this difficult time. In my head I know she's gone, but my heart still hasn't accepted it. I find myself looking in her doghouse almost every time exit the garage to see if she's there. Or mybe when I gochelk on the ducks I'll glance under the trailer. In my head, I know she isn't there and never will be again, but I'm finding it hard to accept and therefore I have yet to truly greive. I don' think I've shed but one tear and I feel kind of guilty. She was an amazing dog and she deserves to be cried over, but I just can't do it.
