    I'm Not A Plastic Bag

Have you heard about this bag? I guess it's the new "in thing". Check them out on ebay. I can't believe they're going for hundreds of dollars. They were originally $15. Wouldn't a plain ol tote bag suffice?

That's all well and good, but what would I use for used kitty litter?

It's "saving the environment" . Hey kiddos, why don't you spend $250 on planting new trees???

Guess it's not cool enough! *shrugs*

ETA: Also, there are biodegradable doggie poop bags. My shelter uses them and they always let me take a few to use on my own, heh.

I don't get it. What is it? Just an alternative to using plastic bags at the grocery store and now they're some over-priced trend? Either way, I like my free tote bags that I get from convention-type things

I have several canvas bags, but they don't have writing on them.

I just love them. They are so handy to have for packing traveling stuff. Never used them for grocery shopping through.

I just saw that on the TV on the news, it said people are waiting out in the rain to "save the envoirment" by getting those bags for $15 each. But on ebay why buy bags like that for so much money, might as well just get a bunch of cheaper tote bags without the "I'm not a plastic bag".

Some people must have a lot more money than I do to throw around.

You have to remember, on Ebay things are by supply and demand. If there are say 50 identical items and there are say 200 people that want them, they will have a bidding war to be the one that gets the item regardless of cost.

I once payed $175 for an expansion set to a board game on ebay. Granted it is a long since out of print game, and we DEARLY love playing it, but it's now considered a 'collectors item' so we have to bid high to get it. There are NO stores that carry it and it's long since dissapeared from garage sales/flea markets.

Whether it's a part to a board game or a tote bag, the number of bidders vs the supply will dictate how high the price goes. If we're all smart we'll buy some of those bags for $15 and get rich selling them on ebay while the trend lasts. ROFL

I don't get what's so special about them to make them $100+.. they're not designer or anything o.o.

    I don't get it.

There's no way I'd spend over $20 on any sort of bag/purse, designer or not.
