    Mini gets an extra treat tonight!!

    Mini saved Kyra's life a few minutes ago!!

    Kyra was out by the pool, the volleyball was in it, and Kyra was determined to get it. I'm not sure if she jumped in or fell in but we were all in the house and Mini would not shut up. My dad went outside to investigate and Mini was by the side of the pool barking nonstop and Kyra was in the water struggling to get out! Mini's head is also really wet so we're not sure if she tried to get Kyra out or what, but I don't know how else she'd get that wet!

    If it wasn't for Mini barking I'm not sure how long it would have been before we went to check on the dogs, and by that time it could have possibly been too late.

    So, first things first, Kyra's homemade "doggy door" (she gets through a broken part in the lattice) will be fixed ASAP so she can't get into the pool area unsupervised again. And secondly, no more balls in the pool when nobody is in there!!!! And thirdly, put the ladder in so if something like this happens again at least she has a chance to get out!

    That girl doesn't understand how lucky she is! And Mini's acting really weird now, like she does when she's in trouble. But she gets extra treats tonight. She can't fool us, she really does love that little thing!

    Might also check out the Floating Pool Alarms they have ...
    They "Float" on the water and sound a loud alarm if the water is "disturbed" -

    Mini deserves a medal for that! I'm so glad she saved the day, because otherwise the outcome would be just unbearable

    Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.
