Dramatic landscape pictures (2 more in #9, 1 more in #18)

I was just in the mood:

I course I hope that such a thing will never happen!

    Thanks!

Hope it's no offense to those who ever witnessed such a scene IRL...

    Well, now here's the original:

(Technically, "original" is not correct, as the sky is also digitally attached here).

Just remember to click your heels three times and say "There's no place like home" in case you end up in OZ! Nice pic.

    Awesome pictures!
Kirsten, can you post the original untouched Mohnblumen pictures for comparison?
May I have your permission to use one for my desktop?
Your lovely pictures making me homesick.

    Thanks. Here's another one:

    @Catty1: LOL

@auggie: Did you live in Germany? I'm going to post the original "Mohnblumen" in the next post.

Catty1: Okay, you're right. But I think I better start with the tower photo I showed you.

auggie, here are the originals, not very impressive...

What do you mean by “not very impressive”?
Of course they are, silly girl! They’re beautiful! Keep them coming!
Yes, I’m German. I was in Germany the first two weeks in May and this is my sad attempt of capturing a Poppy field. I didn’t get close enough because I had my Mom in the car, who desperately needed to find a bathroom.

auggie, the poppy picture and one of the others won't show up for me. Where was the last one (the one of the tower) taken? From which area in Germany do you/your ancestors come?

I moved them over to imagestation.
The tower is part of the church in the picture right below.
I’m from Rheinland Pfalz, but grew up near Hamburg.
I hope I didn't highjack your beautiful picture threat with my crappy photos.
