Ikkyu, it is always a pleasure to meet a handsome boy such as yourself. I can hardly believe that you are fourteen sweetheart; you don't look a day over six! Perhaps it is the international travel which keeps you so young!

You are in excellent company here at Pet Talk, Ikkyu. There are several beautiful Abys here, and they will all be hoping that you join purrsonally, so that you can keep us supplied with photos of your elegant self.

I hope that there is something you can have as a little treat today that won't upset your delicate kidneys. Or maybe just lots of cuddles for such a special boy? Congratulations on your most important Cat of the Day status!

    Ikkyu!

(Quote by Owner: Ikkyu has always been a one-person cat, completely devoted to me but not too keen on anyone else. Even though he doesn't go outside, he still gets to hone his skills as a hunter as we live in the country and there are occasional mice in the house! He is now a senior cat and suffers from diabetes and delicate kidneys, but he is really well cared for by his vet, Christina, and very much enjoys life.)

    Ikyuu,
You are a stunning Abbysinian! You don't look like you are 14, sweet boy! That is so nice that you are completely devoted to your owner. In addition, you sound like a very good hunter, and that is certainly a good trait to have in a cat . I am sorry that you suffer from diabetes and delicate kidneys, but you still look very healthy and look like you are being treated well for them. It is so great that you have a passion for life and travel! I bet you still have many more years to live and enjoy.
Happy Cat of The Day, deserving Ikyuu!

PS. We haven't had an abbysinian in a long time so I am extra-glad to see you today!

What a pleasure and an honor it is to make your acquaintance, beautiful Ikkyu!!! What a sage, seasoned soul you are, sweetheart; you do your namesake proud Wow! What a rich, exciting, adventure filled life you and your Mom have shared these many years, traveling the world, to so many exotic and far away places; what a gig And despite your many health challenges, it's clear you still have a great love for life. And I have to agree with my fellow posters, you do not look a day over 5, Ikkyu; you're stunning!!! My beloved Buddy, who passed away one year ago this day at the age of 19, suffered from diabetes and kidney troubles, too. But like you Ikkyu, despite his health issues, he never lost his love for life, or his good looks It my heartfelt wish that you and your wonderful Mom enjoy many more happy, peaceful, love filled years together! Congratulations beautiful Ikkyu, our most deserving, most inspirational Cat of the Day! I hope your family, Dr. Christina, and all of your devoted fans enjoy a very special "top cat" day of celebration! Cuddles and kisses to you, precious boy!

Ikkyu is beautiful! It's so neat that he's able to travel like that. Most cats don't like even short car rides.
