How do you make your coffee?

Just wondering how you all make your coffee at home. I use instant or make 'proper' coffee in a cafetiere (French press) but I'm thinking of buying a percolator.

I voted other because a couple of years ago my hubby bought me one of these for our anniversary. It is just as easy as instant, but tastes fresh brewed. I love my coffee!!!

I voted cafetiere. I also use a little espresso machine, just the type that you heat on the ring.

I use instant because all of the brewed coffee from percolators over here are disgusting not like star bucks - they leave a real bitter aftertaste and that does not sit well with me. It is a shame becuase I have a percolator and cannot get the States until late this year to get some starbucks coffee.

Any nice PT'ers will to take pity on me and send me some?????? I love their Java coffee.....

I've read percolators make the WORST coffe because it keeps recycling the coffee over and over again. Making a strong bitter, old coffee taste to every cup. All that said, I can't stand coffee so I don't make it. But I LOVE the smell of cooffee!

I make folgers instant at home since I am the only coffee drinker. I use a fileter coffee machine at work and I treat myself to starbucks at least a few times a week. I am a coffee fiend.

Mostly we just have instant, but sometimes we visit a proper old-fashioned coffee shop, which is highly expensive but well worth every penny, to choose and ground our own coffee beans. That stuff goes in the percolator.

I agree, when I was in Turkey I couldn't get enough of the stuff. Then, the following year, I went to Greece, and discovered their version is even better, and drank tons more of that! Now I suppose I'm eagerly awaiting the prospect of Cypriat coffee this summer to see if it can top that.

I don't think I could live without my everyday coffee!

I use instant. It tastes ok and it it easy and quick to prepare, which is awesome in the morning cause I usually wake up pretty late. But of course, the cafeteria one always tastes soooo much better.

We have a drip machine which we load in the evening and it comes on by a timer in the morning. There is nothing like waking up to the smell of coffee! On the weekends, when there is more time, I sometimes grind the beans for a fresher cup. I drink 12 oz. every morning but that is it for the day. I just need it to get my motor running.

We drink coffee each morning and have used a drip coffee maker for years. Our newest pot is a Bunn that our kids found at a garage sale and it is terrific!! Before that it was always a percolator. I only like coffee within the first 30 minutes it is made - after that is tastes stale to me. Starbucks does not taste good to me but I know lots of folks love it. Is that coffee brew, drip - anyone know? When we had a Dunkin Donuts in town, I used to enjoy their coffee. We used to have a press - that we bought in France. I have never been able to make consistant coffee with it though.

I use a drip coffee pot - I grind the coffee beans right before I make a pot of coffee. I like my cup of coffee with two sugars and some milk or coffemate.
