    Peggy the chicken

I rescued a chicken today. She is a blue old english game bantam with severe scaly leg mite. She can't use use one of her legs at all but gets around fine by hopping around on her good one. She is very sweet and tiny. she is only about the size of a pigeon.

Yeah I soaked them in warm water and then put some vasaline on them. She seems much more comfortable. She has a large rabbit cage with soft pine shavings in the bottom that she is living in.

What a cute name for her! I like the first photo best where she's sitting in the grass like she hasn't a care in the world. Kudos to you for caring for her! What will happen to her other leg, will it heal so she can use it again, or will she just function without it?

Poor little girl, that leg looks nasty. She is so cute, well done for taking her in.
