    Is your cat a supervisor?

Nearly all of my cats are shy of strangers and will run and hide when anyone comes to the door. And then there's Kacey.

Today the moving company representative showed up to inventory my stuff and give me an estimate for the move to Illinois. He brought in a bag that was about the size of a small airline carry-on and put the bag on a chair. Kacey promptly attempted to crawl into the bag. I ended up negotiating the moving contract with a squirming cat in my arms.

If anyone is here to work on anything, Kacey has to participate. Plumbers, cable installers--you name it, he's got to check things out. I guess I should be grateful that he doesn't charge hourly rates!

Does anyone else have a cat who insists on supervising household events?

Remus MUST know what is going on at all times...especially with guests. If he isn't in your face, he's making sure your things pass inspection

I have a couple of cats that like to supervise. Oliver and Connor will come out and supervise almost anyone. Because they are deaf they will "work" with the contractors, etc. I have others that will only come out to supervise if there isn't alot of noise going on.

Oh yes, Sparkle has to supervise everyone: me, Dad, anyone who comes in to do work here. Tool boxes require close investigation. Her nose would get eletrocuted if I didn't get her. Thank goodness for bedrooms with doors, he he.

Our Dylan sounds just like Kacey. He never hides from anyone - usually right at the door if someone rings. Like Kacey, he supervises repairmen, visitors. Etc. It's pretty funny. He doesn't go demanding attention or nosing around, he is just THERE, calmly overseeing whatever is going on

We call Pepper "The Inspector" because she has to get her nose in everything ANYONE is doing.

This has resulted in a red nose -- when she stuck her nose in some acrylic paint and curled whiskers -- when she inspected the lighting of a candle. Bobcat can't do anything without her involvement.
He can't even make a phone call with out her listening in!

Yup, Allen is our little supervisor with Pouncer as his backup (depending on the situation..... then Harry steps in instead)

Nobody ever sees the girls. Flutter is ghost cat and unless you're REALLY lucky, a visitor won't meet Flutter.

What a fun thread! I am loving all of the pictures. My two boys love to supervise family members only, especially when I am folding clothes or wrapping a present. When a guest comes they are *outta here!* Trevor will occasionally return after he builds up his nerve and might rub on the legs of the visitors (embarrassing when they are wearing black slacks) but Andy will remain hidden. People have to take my word for it that he exists.

Mine only supervise the proper cooking methods of our dinner, lol. I always have Toby and Churchy on the counter as close as they can get to the stove without feeling the heat and then Dixie will be on the table watching from over there and meowing at me about every 10 seconds.

She's the order barker...the other two are her silent partners.
