Why a breeder in WI and not just a gerbil? There is a very, very nice pet place in Appleton with brindle gerbils. I can ask my sister if can ask around, she knows of many animal breeders why breed locally for pet stores. Maybe somebody can inform her of a gerbil breeder?

I wanted a breeder because I know that a breeder will have gerbils that aren't inbred like at alot of petstores. I've already tried petfinder and the nearest gerbil is in Illinois. I am not driving to Illinois just for a gerbil. I know of a very good petstore near me that I could go to to get one gerbil but I need two. See, I'm going to breed gerbils and if you get one from a petstore then you can't get the other from the same petstore because they could sibilings. I need another trust worthy petstore or a gerbil breeder. what is the name of the petstore in appleton? And do they breed gerbils professionally? Because alot of petstores have them breeding with their sister and that's inbreeding. I can't have that! I need gerbils that have a non inbred history so that I can get the best results. Ya get it? I also need to ask some questions from a real gerbil breeder. I think I'll start a new post to ask questions of a gerbil breeder. I still need help finding the petstores or breeders so please continue to help with that!

You do know that gerbils have reputable breeders, as well, animalwhisperer? Yes, breeders that will drive far "just for" a gerbil, that take the "best" representations of the breeds (that have to meet certain criteria) to shows and have them evaluated (and get pedigrees), and breed nice, healthy pups from nice, healthy parents.

Try gerbil clubs and assocations, etc.

well see I would love to drive that far but I can't. It's complicated. I have to find somthing near to me. That Petstore that I was talking about is very good when it comes to breeding gerbils. They keep the dad in the cage and they call it a breeding pair. Some stores take the dad out and say that its mom and babies. They abviously don't know anything about how to breed gerbils so I don't even think about going there. Although I do know a pet store that doesn't breed their gerbils. If you go there they have two tanks one for males and one for females. and that's all you see. I think I'll go there and then go to the one that breeds them professionly. Wow! I just solved my problem. Thanks for your help!

The dog house and pet center is the one in Appleton with the brindles. They have males and females seperated, unless they get in a pregnant mom, then they label it as mom and babies and then seperate the males and females form the litter and label with the birthdate if they can.
