"Agressive Breeds" BSL

For class I need to have a topic of a big topic in the news. I decided to do the "aggresive breeds" If anyone has any pictures of your dog (MIX OR PURE) with children or other dogs, or just being adorable please post them. And that I have your approval that I can use it in a powerpoint presentation to my teacher.

I don't own any dogs, but I am so glad you are doing your report on this subject! I can't wait to hear the results that you get back from the teacher. All the so called "aggressive dog breeds" in the world are thanking you for standing up for them

This is my son and Tequila, a pit bull we rescued and rehomed - into a home with two small children. Ten years later, she is still the love of their lives.

Thats a good idea.

In the UK, we had a big thing in the papers when a pitbull attacked and killed the owners neice at her grandparents house and had previously bitten the grandmother and attacked a neighbours dog etc...
Funnily enough, the owner is a convicted drug dealer. They also found a whole bunch of pitties meant for dog fighting as a result of this incident and so the subject of dangerous pitbulls is in the forefront of the public attention yet again.
It's funny because, on the news, it showed some brief footage of officers removing the pitties from their cages and putting them into vans and I just remember an image of one officer carrying a dog out and it was wagging it's tail furiously and trying to lick his face.

Pittes are banned in the UK because of idiot owners so all of these dogs were illegal anyway and would be destroyed.

Within days of that pitbull attack, a toddler was mauled my the grandparents rottie. They went in the house briefly and left this toddler alone on the drive with the rottie who was tethered. I mean, how completely stupid.
Next thing you know, the paper is full of people calling for rotties and other breeds to be banned like the pittie and a couple of other breeds.
They were saying stuff like they aren't pets and are just naturally aggressive and dangerous. Some people have no idea what the are talking about.
