    I'm a loser.

    Ive coime to post my feeble mind
    Because it's impossible to unwind
    Again, it's really not that fair
    Once more, to the cat, I've lost my chair.

    Hell and heaven can only know
    I cannot watch my favorite shows!
    Sports and news, maybe racing?
    My spot is taken, now I'm pacing!

    It's no big deal, it's pretty minor
    The cat's asleep, in my recliner!
    I'm forced to stand, to watch some tube
    The cat's asleep, now who's the boob?

    I've thought to use a little muscle
    But are the wounds worth the tussle?
    A look, a growl, fangs and claws
    And guess who gets the shredded paws?

    A lesson learned, from prior fights
    My sleeping cat is DYNAMITE!
    If I want that chair, If I'm really needing..
    I've got to expect to do some bleeding

    How long will i stand? how long will he nap?
    He'll wake for food, or to take a cr@p!
    He rules this roost, and owns the chair
    Altho I know that it just ain't fair!

    Three hours later, I'm still waiting
    He's opened his eyes! It's me he's baiting
    Not gonna bother or even try.
    It best to leave a sleeping cat lie!

    I know we can all relate, but I have to tell you I just read this to my Dad. He wants to know when Ruffles went to sleep on YOUR recliner? Ha ha ha. Dad says thanks for a smile.

    Remus and Spook say AMEN to that! I just got a nice comfy chair for my computer (well for me USING the computer, not the computer itself lol), and most of the time I'm not the one sitting in it!

    Isn't this the truth?! I have slept in some pretty strange positions because I didn't want to disturb Taz. Cats are kings (or queens)!!

    GREAT poem RICHARD! Sound like you are back in full force again. I really enjoyed it and I have to admit, 100% correct! You have captured the essence of "CAT"!
