    Poodle question???

There is a woman that has 3 Standard poodles, she has 2 whites and one Black. I see her all the time while I am driving downtown. The thing that draws my attention everytime, is that her Black poodle has a All white head! It is just the craziest looking thing! There is no other white on the dog, except it head and its ears. I have never seen such a thing! I have tried to find of pics on the net, but with no such luck. has anyone ever seen anything like this??? I wish I could get a pic, but i never know when I will see her, and it is hard to take pics while driving! he he he he! I just thought it was pretty cool!

Sounds like a parti colored Poodle. It probably has other white spots on it but you can't see it from your distance. I do believe partis aren't allowed in conformation, and I don't think many (if any) breeders favor the continuation of that color.

Wow. I just got done looking at partipoodleworld.com They are gorgeous. The UKC allows them to be shown of course. I love that all the markings are original and they aren't clones like parti cockers or siberian huskies. Can you imagine a poodle litter with all perfectly masked huskies. I bet if the AKC ever started accepting them that's the first thing american breeders would try to do, make them into exact matches so you get the same marking every time.

Yes they are parti-colored poodles and aren't intentionally bred. I also belong to a poodle board and I have seen a poodle such as the one you describe. There is also a parti-colored toy poodle that is a therapy dog at the convalescent home where my mother lives. Some people don't even realize that they are poodles because of their coloring. The woman who owns the therapy dog says that people are always asking what breed she is.

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.

    Poodle question

Poodle enthusiasts, I have a question. I have a new neighbor whose daughter visits with her little poodle, who is just the cutest. She doesn't participate in shows so she just has the dog in a regular clipped coat. The dog is kind of a creamy white color. Which got me thinking, I've seen white poodles, dark brown and black ones - Are all poodles solid colored? Is there such a thing as a multi-colored poodle? This little guy is so cute. He gets to bopping around and manages to find his way under chairs and beside feet, though, which is a little unnerving. Would not want him to get stepped on. I'll try to take his photo when they are visiting the poodle's "grandma" again. He's cute and smart, knows how to schmooze people to get petted.
