Had to buy a new camera (5 practice pics)

Well, my old camera started acting funny a couple of weeks ago, and I finally got around to taking it in to the camera shop. They said it was an electrical problem and that they would have to send it to Nikon and it would cost about $192.00 to fix (that was if it was only one electrical component that was effected, if it was two it would cost more). So I bought a new camera for $40.00 less than it would have cost to fix the old one. Still practicing and trying to get used to it, but I think I like it better than my old one so far. Here are some samples
The very first picture I took (I know it is blurry)

I really like the way this one came out, and don't think I could have gotten a shot this nice with my old camera.

Oh yes, we also had company this weekend. Sammy is back to normal as just as cute as he ever was.

I kept trying to get pictures of them playing but the shutter speed is too slow. I am still reading the instruction book

And last picture. I was actually in the other room trying to take a picture when she apparently saw something outside.

Oh well, that is all for now. I do have some snow pictures that I took with a disposable camera, if I got any decent shots I may post them later.

Great pics! And if it was me I would have just bought a new one too. Your new camera seems to work great! I would die without a camera lol.

    great pics!

Now that you have a new camera you should have a great time breaking it in!
I had a fuji that was a year old - I sent it to the company and they "fixed" it - sent it back and it was still doing the same thing- sent it back again it was going to be $175 to fix it. That was almost half of what a new one cost me! I LOVE my Canon S2IS.

Thank you sooo much everyone. Yes, I think I am going to have fun playing with my new toy. However, I don't think Ginger is going to like it as much, because this camera shows much more detail, which means that she is going to have to have her hair brushed all the time now. Good thing I got that furminator, Kay, as a matter of fact I think we may use it today.
