Anna Nicole Smith Dies In Florida

A lawyer for Anna Nicole Smith says she has died.

Smith, 39, collapsed and was unresponsive while staying at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe Hotel and Casino, said the attorney, Ron Rale. She was rushed to a hospital just after 2:00 p.m. EST.


Officials said Smith had checked into the hotel on Monday and was scheduled to check out on Friday.

According to eyewitnesses, emergency responders performed CPR at the scene.


Smith, a Texas native, had been a tabloid staple even before she became Playboy's playmate of the year in 1993. Readers were fascinated by her bombshell good looks, her marriage to an elderly billionaire and subsequent court fight over his estate, her weight fluctuations, and last year, the sudden death of her 20-year-old son, Daniel Smith.

That was surprising news. Even though I know she's lived a 'hard' life it's still a shock, especially since she is just one month younger than me.

How very sad for her baby girl. I hope all the men bickering over who's the father can settle this with DNA and get her in a stable home.

I was stunned when I heard the news. Stars live a fast lifestyle. With some, it catches up to them a lot sooner than others. I feel bad for her daughter. I imagine there will be a huge fight about who the real father is and who can raise her better. I hope she has much better luck than her mom.

She said in a recent interview that she wished she had died and not her son. it's not unheard of, that people die of a broken heart. Regardless, a beautiful, innocent little baby will be the victim of paternal lawsuits and no mommy. It's heartbreaking.
