Reggie is gone :(

Reggie is now at the Rainbow Bridge with Smokey. He's been going downhill for quite some time but the past couple of months he was even worse. My mom made the decision to send him to the RB tonight. I made the mistake of going with her, I didn't want her to have to go alone. That was the hardest thing I have ever witnessed. I have been crying all night, I just cannot stop. I miss him so much. He would have been 14 in March.

Reggie please know that we all love and miss you. I hope you are happier and pain free up there with Smokey. I love you old boy, please forgive us for having to let you go, we didn't want you to be in pain, you are free now. You were such a good dog, I'm glad I was able to grow up with you as my friend.

Oh Amy. I'm so sorry. I know Reggie was glad you were there with your mom. It is very hard but one day you'll be glad you you made that decision. It's so hard to say goodbye. I read this last night but couldn't find the words to reply. I feel as if I've lost one of my own since I've spent so much time with him. The most prominent memory that I can think of is how he loved to rub against your leg like a cat.

Such a little dog full of so much personaility. He lived a long, long, happy life and now he is reuinited with his friend Smokey. I am sure they are sharing many stories.

Please give your mom a hug from me and tell her I'm thinking about her. I am so sorry.
