I never would have thought a piggie would enjoy being out in the snow, but look at how cute and sweet you look, Luna, peering out from your little snow fort! I hope you don't catch the sniffles, but I guess your fur keeps you nice and warm . . . so adorable are you, precious Luna, our darling little POTD!

I strongly caution people against putting piggies in the snow. When there were wild guinea pigs in South America, they could no doubt withstand extremes in temperatures. However, the domesticated guinea pig cannot tolerate very cold temperatures. Introducing your guinea pig to snow could also be introducing them to pneumonia. Guinea pigs are very prone to respiratory problems, so keeping them indoors warm and safe is the best thing you can do for them!
