Parade Pictures

These are pictures from our 45th Annual Santa Claus Parade.I was at the second one when we first moved down to the south end of Bowmanville in 1962 when I was 2 years old.that day was bad,cold,snowy and blowing,today,it was cloudy and cool,no rain.The first one is Sparky,the Fire Dog,next one is a float caled "friends Helping friends",there are 3 pictures of animals from the Bowmanville Zoo, a Elephant, camels,a minature horse, a zebra and Reindeer.parade 6 is the float from our church Trinity United.The Reverend Joe Lafave is one of the two men in robes.there are pictures of a Bichon and a big,white poodle,didn't quite get thim in right and the last one is Santa Claus.it was too cool for fritz,he stayed home.Had plenty of bands,some had bagpipes which mom likes as her dad and grandfather were from Glasgow,Scotland.

Well, that's the first time I've ever seen a Santa Elephant!
Looks like a fun time, the animals all look so festive.

That looks like a fun parade, it doesn't look to crowded so it looks like everyone was actually able to enjoy watching it! I liked the little reindeer, they are so cute!

It's so nice to see the Stable in the parade. Many these days don't recognize it - or anything religious about Christmas anymore because of all the huff puff people who were not Christian did about it.

I'm also glad Walmart's in the US are back to saying Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays.
