I had a MAJOR PANIC ATTACK TODAY!!!!

First off, I'm sorry that I haven't been on lately, but I've been having computer problems this past week and have been sick with a bad sinus infection, but I am finally feeling bettter, unfortunately my computer isn't.
My son will be coming sometime this weekend to check it out and hopefully get it back in running order. I wasn't able to get onto some websites that I've had no problem with before and whenever I would try to send an e-mail or a PM, it took so darn long, that is would disconnect. AAAARRRGGG!!!
Tonight, it's doing a little better, so I am typing here like the wind, praying that it doesn't disconnect on me.

Now, onto the panic attack. My hubby was going in and out of the house late this afternoon, bringing things down to his truck as he is going on a fishing trip this weekend. Anyway, as I was sitting here, I noticed that I hadn't seen Sweetpea for a while, so I went on the hunt for her. Searched and searched ever nook and cranny that I could think of. Under things, in things. I yelled for my son and hubby to help me find her and fast. After searching what seemed like forever, we couldn't find her. I panicked big time thinking that she got out. We all went outside and searched for about an hour for her and NOTHING!!!
I started crying thinking the worse, that maybe Pierre saw her and brought her back into his house as it is raining outside. I literally felt sick to my stomach, thinking how was I going to get her back if that was so.
To make a long story short, I was sitting at my computer and went to get a binder from the little shelf on the side of my desk and Lo and Behold...........
There she was.....She's NEVER gone in there before.

    Check out the face.

Needless to say, her fur got soaked with my tears.
Can we all say, 'NAWTEE GIRL FOR SCARING THE LIVING "H" OUT OF ME."

Oh gosh, my Finnigan does that all the time, hides somewhere and just won't answer when I call him.

Glad you found Sweetpea ok, she sure has an innocent expression on her face!

Oh sweetpea, DO NOT SCARE MEOWMIE LIKE THAT! She does not want to have to worry about you getting out, and I know you dont want to be back with the moron Pierre. Now give her kisses and make up!

Lorraine, I am sorry she got you so scared. Dont you hate that smug face they always give to us as to say "what are you freaking out about, I was here all along" lol
Hopefully next time she will make a chirp to let you know where she is!

    Thank you so much Michelle!

First of all ((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) to you, sweetheart!!!! Second, she may be getting closer to time. It is very normal for momma's to start wanting to be more secluded and to start looking for hiding places to have their babies! You might want to provide her with a limited area that she can be in, so that you can keep up with her and maybe coax her into having them somewhere "more convenient"!

    HUGS again!

The look on her face says "DRAT! She found me!" (LOL)

Isn't it amazing how they can hide from you?

BIG sigh of relief! And then, the feeling that you want to give her the lecture of the century (which would fall on deaf ears! ), while she looks nonchalantly and innocently on, with an expression on her face that says 'why are you so upset?'.

    CATS!

So was she in that spot the whole time or was she out, Pierre brought her in and didn't say anything? Regardless, I'm glad she's safe.

EDIT: Oh, had to re-read several times to get what you were saying. Glad she's safe.

Sweetpea is such a naughty little girl for hiding on you.
I swear she must be related to Samantha because she disappeared on me a couple of days ago too and I looked in all of her favorite places and finally found her curled up sleeping on a shelf in the basement that she hadn't been on in 2 years!

It could be that Sweetpea is looking for a cozy safe place to have her kittens like others have said above, or it can also be partly due to the cooler weather.
Do you have an estimated due date for her kittens?
I'm sorry that Sweetpea gave you such a scare.
Give her some hugs and kisses from me, she's such a little cutie pie.
    RIP sweet Samantha

Lorraine, I'm sorry to hear that you've been having computer problems but I'm so glad that hear that Sweetpea was found. As others have already mentioned, she may be looking for a good place to have her kittens. Do you know how much longer it will be before they arrive? I hope that your computer problems will be resolved soon.
