It's a bit different than Mickey's, more smoother.. I'm having fun doing this! I wish I could find a tutorial, though, so I could learn shading.
Here's the picture I looked off.

wow, you sure do have the basics in order.
That drawing looks pretty darned good!!! You can work on the other goodies later!!![]()
So you do it by putting up the picture then coloring over it in paintshop or some program? Interesting, I've never done that. Looks like it would be fun.
Thanks Jess for the great sig of my kids!
I love you baby, passed away 03/04/2008
thats really neat!! It looks just like molly!
Yep, I just created a new layer over top of the picture. I used to the lasso tool to outline my shapes and then filled in with the bucket. Very easy actually! Except furry dogs. lol But I like how Molly's white ruff came out.Originally Posted by Vela

Jess i would just search for vexelling tutorials if you want to learn shading and stuff. You are soo much better than me when I tried my first time though LOL I was so discouraged I NEVER tried it again!
It's very good. I love how her eye looks with the background.

wow -- thats great! I only wish my attempts at PaintShop (i think you mentioned that you were using this in another thread?) worked out as well![]()
Heres a couple of links that might be useful to you if you like playing with digital photos etc.
From the Digital Photo Challenge site, information on how certain digital photo effects were done:
http://www.dpchallenge.com/how.php
Worth1000's effects tutorials page:
http://www.worth1000.com/tutorial.asp
... and Google search results for Paint Shop Pro and Vectoring:

.
Paint Shop Pro 8, the lasso tool, fill bucket, and patience.LOL It's quite simple, if you have the patience for it!
Thanks a lot everyone.I like the encouragement. I may try to do some shading tonight after homework.. I think it may be disastrous, though!

BEAUTIFUL! I love how it came out, I wish my parents would get me PSP 8 I've always wanted. If your ever taking requests I'll be first on the list.![]()
That's really good! And, an interesting way to learn how to get comfortable with the process, also. I may get brave and try to do that.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
I miss you
I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.
Fur as dark as the night.
Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.
