This morning I mentioned to my husband what a good salad I had yesterday from the salad bar at a local grocery. He asked if I had spinach....Of course...I love spinach.... then he told me the news....

I think I would know by now....

This stinks. I'm going to a greek festival this weekend. I won't be able to eat Pita knowing that it may have e.coli.

    Good grief!

Mind you, I'm sure that's a GREAT excuse for kids not to eat their greens!

Isn't E. Coli killed when you cook the spinach in the pita? And washed off when you wash your spinach? Woops, just read that they say washing is not enough.

But what if the people who made the Pita didn't wash it well enough or cook it at a high enough degree to kill it? I'm not taking any chances. I just got a breaking news email from CNN and the ecoli from the spinach has been reported in Ohio.
