    PAM and the litter box

I bought 2 new litter boxes for the boys recently (ugh! the old ones ) and before I put the litter in, I remembered the PAM trick. Now mind you when it was first posted here (by whom, I've forgotten - sorry!) I thought they were out of their mind

So, picture this: I'm in the laundry/cat room we emptied one litter box into the garbage and my husband brings me the new one. I quickly run into my pantry and grab the PAM. I have the butter flavored one my husband looks at me as I am spraying the bottom & sides of the new box. He then asks me, in a calm voice, "Are we going to make this into a new cake or something?" When I start explaining the process and hopefully the results he was looking at me like I had 3 heads.

After I put the new litter in, of course all 3 had to enter, walk around, dig, and one even left me a prize!! Later that night I was thrilled and delighted to find that it did actually work! Nothing stuck to the sides or corners!!! This is actually wonderful now that Fluffy is receiving SubQ's his pee biscuits are huge and he tends to do them in corners, now my corners are clean & easy to scoop up!

So I would like to thank _________________ for posting this way back when, and a swift kick in my butt for not doing this sooner! Even Tim was impressed - but he is still going to tell the "butter- flavored-PAM-kitty-litter" story at work........guess we have to keep those guys amused some how

I remember the thread about it too and I think it was K & L'a Lisa. I haven't ever tried this yet but I'm glad that it works.

What a great idea! I must have missed that first thread, so thanks for bringing the idea back up. I may have to try it. ALL of my boys pee in the corners of their boxes and it's such a pain to scrape out.

That's cool that you tried it and it works!

    **hugs**

Thanks for searching this out Tracey! never thought of that!! And thanks to Dan for posting the orginal thread! (now I know who to thank!)

Well its been a few days, and we added another PAM sprayed box, and I am just amazed how much easier life is!! I do believe that it cuts down on some of the litter dust too!

Those corner pee biscuits are soooooo easy to scoop out now!

I didn't see the original thread, but this has come at a great time. I don't know whether the litter that my Mum uses has changed its formula, but she is convinced that her cat is passing glue at the moment. He always sits in the corners or edges too. I will tell her to put this on her shopping list! Thank you.
