Some digiart... (well, at least more or less LOL)

I took some photos today of a statue here in my hometown, made by the artist Gustav Eberlein, more than 100 years ago. It shows the creation of Adam.

Here, I played with the background, something I did for the very first time:

Here's just another version of the first one, I think I like this one better:

    Another image of this scene:

Some details of hand and foot:

And this is what the statue is looking like in reality:

What do you think of it? LOL

It looks really good! I really like what you did to the background, it looks kind of like a background I would envision during the creation of Adam. Sort of stormy, but ethereal. It's a nice statue too.

First , The inital reaction that comes to my mind is how very fortunate I am to live -in the time that I do- and that I can gaze upon this statue!!!!

so, thank-you for that!!!(WHEW!!!) Jiminy Crickets!!!!!!!!
Then ,( dorothy39 catches her breath)

I had to stand back away and look at the first one, then the second one, comparing the difference. Yes, I can see the subtle difference in the background shading and composition. Yet, both of them are quite stunning!!!

The close up shots of this statue overwhelmed me the most. As , each finger, toe, muscle conture, was still intact. This statue had to be much more outstanding a century ago, though I can't imagine gazing upon such perfection then.

    Best for Last, :

I felt as though I were looking at a copy of "National Geographic"--

Did you get a copyright on those photos? Or, am I still living in the dark ages?

Kirsten, Your photography is so tender!!!!
