Need allies OSU campus area Columbus

Hello:
I used to live near OSU, Columbus and started to feed some stray cats. I moved away a year ago but still feed the cats. The problem is the students in the area do not want me putting food for the strays (even if not on their property which they are renting). I am at a loss of what to do. One of the strays has kittens and obviously needs food. My strays rely on me for food. I need some allies in this area to help support me to put food out for my strays. Even better if I can find someone who lives close by and I can safely put food out for the strays at or near their residence. Any ideas or solutions?

Unfortunately, I left the area a long time ago and can be of no direct assistance, but you may want to contact a rescue group in Columbus called Cat Welfare. They are a no-kill rescue group that did a lot of work in the OSU area when I lived there. If they can't help, I'm sure they can refer you to someone or another group that can.

Don't these students realize that these strays are probably a result from students having pets then abandoning them when they're schooling is over??? I wish I lived closer to help. These students need to be educated about these things. Good luck.

Oh, they know and they don't care. This is really an issue around a lot of campuses. The bigger the school, the bigger the problem.

An update on feeding the strays near south OSU campus. The students still don't want me putting food out for strays. I am getting help from Colony cats to trap a mom who keeps having litters of kittens. I have rescued a few of the mom's litters in the past and given them away. I have also taken in and fixed multiple cats from that area in the past few years. I am still looking for an ally in the OSU south campus area (preferably who lives there or knows someone who lives there) to help me take care and fix these cats.

Check in that area and see if there is a TNR program that will pay to have them spayed/neutered. That would be a big help to you but someone would have to trap them.
