Yesterday was a very sad day!!!!

I did not post this yesterday, I was far to upset......So here it goes.

I had to find Tyson a new home. He left yesterday afternoon. I felt like somebody has just taken one of my children away For those of you who don't know me very well, let me fill you in.

My husband has taken a managers position with his company, however he now lives in another city (3 hours away). I have 2 boys 8 years and 18 months. We are staying here until our house sells. I work on average 40-50 hours a week. I thought long and hard about Tyson and what I thought was right for him. I had to keep him in a crate, because he was a master destructo. With that said he was crated for long hours, which I didn't feel was fair. By the time I would get the kids home from daycare, fed, homework done, and bathed (besides the usual chores) I had very little time to spend with him (again not fair to him) I couldn't even take him out for his evening walks anymore

So he has now gone to live with a friend. She has another dog and a huge farm. She has a child of 9 whom just loves him to death. I feel I have made the right decision, for him (I feel like somebody has ripped my heart out) I know he will be well taken care of and spoiled rotten. I can't type anymore, because I can't see past the tears in my eyes. I do want to say an EXTRA special THANK YOU to Carmen (Beenies Mom) who called me all the way from Florida to see if I was okay....Thanks Carmen, you are a true friend!!!!!

I have decided that I will keep him in my siggy.....He will awalys have a big piece of my heart.

    Tyson I miss you
You will always be in my heart

In your heart, you know you did the best thing for Tyson. If he's with a friend, perhaps you'll still be able to see him or at least heaar about him from time to time. I know, it hurts. That's how I flt when we had to find another home for my son's dog. Best of luck with everything, sounds like a busy time.

Thanks for the support......Yes I can see him right now he lives about 20 min away. When I move it will be different, however my family lives in this area and when I come home to visit them hopefully I can go see him too. He will ALWAYS be my dog.....Thor is pretty bummed He hasn't gotten off the couch much, and I think when he was out tonight he was searching for Tyson in the back yard........(That breaks my heart too)

I am sorry to hear that you had to make such a tough decision, but glad to hear you did what you felt was best for Tyson. I am glad that you will get to see him a few times before you move. Do you think you could set up some play dates for Thor and Tyson at Tyson's new home, so that Thor will get an idea as to where Tyson is now? (That is what we did for Ginger when her friends moved a couple of miles away - she caught on pretty quick.)

Even though it is painful for you, you did what was best for Tyson. That shows true love. He sounds like he will live a wonderful life!!! You will just have to help Thor through this by lavishing love on him. That will be the hardest part because you can't explain to Thor what happened. Maybe, at the new house, there will be a next door dog that Thor can play with. Good luck. You did the right thing.

Give yourself a HUGE pat on the back for being a thoughtful, caring and wonderful pet owner who put the welfare of their dog before their own feelings - if only everyone was like you.........
