YEAHHHHHHHH!!! Today was the women's finals on the Grand Slam tournament in Paris! Guess who won????
BELGIUM !!! with our Justine Henin-Hardenne!!
This is the 3rd time she won this tournament!!And her 5th Grand Slam!!

She beat our other Belgium topplayer Kim Clijsters (World #2) in the semi-finals!!

He he, I am a bit ashamed that Belgium is NOT selected for the World Cup Soccer , but at least Belgium has VERY good tennis-players

Our David Nalbandian played against Federer yesterday, but he had to leave the match because of an injury

I haven't heard too much about the tennis as everything is football orientated in the house at the moment , but I like tennis. I probably enjoy playing it more than watching it though

I just saw it in the news - Congrats!!

I used to watch a lot of tennis in the 80s and 90s, but I was never a fan of the German top players, Boris Becker and Steffi Graf.

Well, in the 80s, there were some years when she won literally EVERY tournament, which was really boring. I remember she was once defeted in the Finals of the French Open by Aranxia Sanchez (or was it Monica Seles, I'm not sure), and I thought that was cool.

She always seemed to be too eager to win, I didn't like that.
