    Puzzle 139

Dear all, Iīm supposed to host the new puzzle, though as Randi said I could only start this today, bc Iīm moving! (Just had Internet installed this morning!)

Iīve been thinking about a special kind of puzzle and Iīd love to know if youīre interested in playing it for once, instead of the classic one! It would consist in asking for letters to guess different pairs (just like the presidentīs game a few puzzles ago, but with our own PetTalk members!) consisting in memberīs real names and their petīs name(s) (Ill have to make some research!) What do you think about it? Thus, we could know each other a little better.. well just a few, I canīt post all memberīs names here, but... well, I think it would be nice.. What do you think? the rules would be the same as for the classic puzzles.

Of course, if you donīt like the idea, just le me know !

Sounds interesting -- I can't quite picture it, but I'm willing to try.
I'm sometimes asked "Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?" I answer: "I am working at the roots." -George T. Angell, reformer (1823-1909)

It sounds interesting and I'll certainly join in! - unless we can go and get Fister back tomorrow. As you say, it's a good way to get to know who is who and the pets everyone have. I say: Give it a go!!

Dear players, let's start the game!!!

First of all, I'd like to apologize, because I can't include everybody here!!
I hope you enjoy it, it's a puzzle anyway!, but I thought we may know each other a bit better after this... The puzzle consists in pairs of a PT member and her/his pet(s). I'll put the real name of the member - I always miss the real name of people here when posting special messages (supporting ones, for example!). Once the whole puzzle is guessed, I'll post the name used here as login (or username) so we can identify them clearly! Of course, if anyone notices that my information was inaccurate or even not updated (new pets in their lifes!), please tell then!

I've done my best to get the information right, so please, be understanding if I made any mistake!

And... just two more things before we start playing:

    - I've gathered the information from posts here at PT so I think there is no confidencial information posted here (but I'm not telling you which posts served my research.. that would be BIG clue )

    - I mostly join the Cats Zone, so most of the members posted here are proud owners of (or proudly owned by) cats.. though I've tried to put people also known in other threads!! I apologize to those who don't visit the cats thread... please win the game and start another one with the member you know better from your threads!

    Nita

P.S.: Posting the puzzle in a minute, just wanted to post this little note before!

    Here it is!

And here are the rules (the same as always!)

    1. You may only guess one letter at a time.

    2. After you have guessed a letter, you must wait for another player to guess a letter before you can go again.

    3. The host of the game responding to a guess does not count as a turn. Should you choose a letter, then receive a response from the member host, you must wait for the next member to guess a letter.

    4. One point will be awarded for each correct letter, 2 points for vowels.

    5. Only six misses are allowed in the game.

    6. If you wish to guess the phrase, send it to me via Pet Talk personal email. [This is accessible via the 'PM' or 'Profile' buttons on any of my posts.]
DO NOT post it on the forum If you wish to guess a letter, post it on the forum.

    7. You must have submitted a correct letter to submit your solution. Unlike letters, if you submit a wrong solution, you are disqualified from continuing in that puzzle.

    8. The player who correctly guesses the phrase wins the game. If no one has guessed it correctly after six misses, then the player with the most points wins the game.

And here is what you win...you get to create the next puzzle. (Should you win the game, and do not care to host the next puzzle, you may pass your puzzle play to the member with the next highest points)

    And the puzzle is:

    ----- / -----
    ----- / ------ --- -----
    ----- / ------, ------- --- -----------
    ----- / ---, ----- --- -------
    ---- / ----- --- -----
    ----- / -----, -----, ----, ------, ------ --- ------
    ---- / ------- --- ------
    ----- / -----, ----- --- -----
    ----- / ----, ----, ----- --- ------
    ------- / ----- ------, --- --- -----
    ------ / ----- --- ------
    ----- / ------- --- ----, -----, -- ----- --- --- ---- -- --- ----!
    ------ / ------ --- -----
    ------ / --- ---
    ----- / --------, ------ --- -------

    Good luck!

    Nita
