I swear... everytime I go to the petstore... I find another pet I want! The last couple times I wanted an aquarium, a rabbit, and a lizard. I no longer want those anymore... because they just don't appeal to me anymore for some reaons, even though they are still cute! But I just got back from the petstore and when I was there I was just looking through the birds just for fun... and I saw this african grey congo. He was so cute, and very smart. He wasn't boring to watch, and he would make little faces at you and make little noises! I loved him! Now I want a bird... lol. Just to make sure they are right for me... I was wondering if you bird people think they are friendly. And what kind do you have? Does you bird talk a lot? Are they easy to take care of? Are they expensive to care for and buy? I wanted a larger or medium bird, like the one I saw at the store. Thanks everybody!!!

I wouldn't recommend them for you. I would say wait a long while (at least) a few months to make that kind of a commintment to make SURE you really still want one. If you are ready for one and still want one 6 months or more from now, I'd say go for a Cocketiel or a budgie at first, and make SURE to do lots of research. I'm not a bird expert and I've never had one myself but I've known people with large parrots like african greys and macaws and I've done a lot of research because they interest me. Many people on PT have Tiels and Budgies so they can help you in that aspect.
