    Had exactly the same problem as you with my pup ( staffie crossed with god knows what lol). Tried all the same techniques to no avail untill we bought a halti (looks a bit like a muzzle but isnt!). It goes over the dogs nose and clips behind the head and can be attached to a half choker if you're afraid of your dog slipping out. The advantage is that you have controll from the dogs nose and you can litterally controll the dog with youre fingers so no need to be wrapping the lead round your hand cutting of circulation lol.

    You may find (will find lol) that your dog objects at first by trying to get out of it or pulling like a donkey but this soon stops. Honestly, It transformed my dog instantly! I can not recomend them enough.
