    Go Boomer Go!!!!!

    I dreamt about him all night! Isn't that funny?

    I have to go stay with my Dad today but I sent the link for the flight tracker to hubby at work so I can have him give me updates this afternoon.

    There are so many people cheering and praying little Boomer on to a safe arrival at grandma and grandpa's house.

    Funny . . . I'm suprised I didn't! I went to sleep last night praying my heart out for sweet Boomer! I think we just all feel so attached to him, even though he's been across the ocean all this time . . . we're just all so glad that he's going to remain in "our family"!!!

    Darn, I missed him! If I had been awake I would have gotten up and waved at his plane! I tossed and turned last night and kept watching the clock trying to figure out where Boomer's plane was. Thanks for the link. It won't be long now Boomer. Hang in there sweetie.

    Question??

    Of all of our "real" kitty transports - doesn't Boomer get the prize for the longest distance ever?

    It would be wonderful if we could have had "in-flight" stories about Boomer.

    Hey Boomer!

    You're a world traveller! Welcome to Canada. (Well our air space anyway) lol

    Looks like in a couple of hours you're going to be down here, crossing the air border between Canada and the U.S.

    I'll wave as you go by.

    Wow !! I have not posted here, but I have been following this entire story since Missy first posted that she was trying to find a new home for Boomer. This has been exciting to follow and I am so glad he is coming to the United States, and all of these posts show that many on PT care about Boomer !!! Welcome to the Grand Ol' USA, Boomer !!

    Over Canada & Turned towards Newark!

    Still over Canada;
    They've turned right and are now headed SouthEast
    towards Newark, NJ.

    ETA for arrival at Newark is still shown as 5:16 PM Eastern Time;
    but with 3 hours to go, that's still a bit of a guess.

    New Jersey Weather:

    Scattered showers have developed across central new jersey. These showers, although widely scattered in nature may cause a brief period of heavy rain. They are moving north at around 10 to 15 mph and will stay mostly west of the hudson river.

    This afternoon: Partly cloudy. Humid with highs in the upper 80s.
    South winds 5 to 10 mph.

    Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers.
    Patchy fog after midnight. Humid with lows in the upper 60s.
    Southeast winds around 5 mph.

    None of ths weather should bother Boomer's landing nor
    his take-off at 7:55 PM for Columbus.

    The car ride to his new home

    I bet G & G let the Boomer out of his carrier in the car. What do you all think? I would. Poor guy. He will need to stretch is legs a bit. Well, if he's been using the pee pad, maybe they will put him in the WAAAAYYYYY back of the car.

    I cannot wait to hear about his arrival etc. It will probably be late tonight before we get the final word.

    I just read this thread. This is incredible, way to go Boomer! Just a suggestion, you might want to try to pickup some of those pet wipes since he couldn't have a litter box, just to get him through the night till he's a bit more relaxed and ready for a bath.

    I've been thinking of Boomer all day; distracted my co-workers to death with "where is Boomer NOW?" and ran right home so I could check in and see where he is!!

    You go, sweet Boomer!! The worst will soon be over.

    Debbie, his homecoming will be wonderful, you've made a kitty paradise for him. If he's anything like our cats, the first thing they do when they get out of the carrier is to S-T-R-E-T-C-H those legs.

    That window perch looks soooo comfy!
    Loving meowmie to Archy & Binky (RIP my sweet boy 10/13/10)
