Good morning Boomer - my what beautiful eyes you have!
I think you are doing extremely well after that long long set of flights.
I think I sit here with just great relief that you are in your Grandma's home and settling in. To come out from under the bed already and allow youself to be scritched is giant progress.
I think you will have the whole household under your control by the end of the day.![]()

I totally panicked! I thought this thread was in Cat General, and I searched and searched and searched, and thought horrible things when I didn't see it!!! **WHEW**
Welcome Home, Boomer!!!
PS to Debbie...after such a long flight, and no pee pee...make extra sure there isn't any blockage from 'holding' it so long....not to make you worry, just to make you aware!
Thank you for the great update Debbie.
Boomer looks like he's doing great, I'm sure remembering you from your trip helped a lot.
Welcome home Boomer it's all behind you now, and before you know it, you'll be reunited with Missy and Tyler to make it all almost complete.
Ya done good!![]()
What a wonderful update! I got teary eyed looking at the pictures. I'm so happy for Boomer. I'm glad he's doing so well for the first morning!! I know he will be so happy to see Missy and Tyler soon. I'm so happy that Missy has such an amazing family helping her (and friends too).

Wow!! Considering all that he has been through in the last 48 hours he is doing great. He is such a sweet little boy. So, glad that he is starting to relax a bit. A nice long bath, that is certainly a good sign. Funny, Robbie is in his cage, I would think they would be afraid, but that is good news too! Soon, it will be just one big happy family!!
Thanks so much kittycats_delight for the beautiful siggy and avatar of my kids!
Yay!!!! Boomer is safe and sound with Grameow and Granpaw! I was worried sick all night as I couldn't get on to check his status.
Way to go Boomer! You did a great job.

How wonderful to see Boomer safe and sound with his grandmeowmie in Ohio! Yippee! He looks great, and I'm sure he'll be all settled in no time.
Sorry.....no pictures this time!![]()
I spent about an hour in the bedroom with Boomer. This time, I lay on the floor and he came right out to see meGave me lovins and smelled my breath! He always does that to Missy - this kitty likes breath
Then, he had a nice long drink and I discovered why it always seems like he has spilled water....this is the CUTEST thing: Boomer drinks with his paws!! Just like my Dylan!! Boomer kept dipping his right paw into the bowl over and over and then drinking right from his paw - like a little cup

Finally ....he went in his litterbox, turned around with his front outside...and he stayed just like that for what must have been full 2 or 3 minutes. But, the result was the biggest pee pancake I have ever seen!!
He has a good bladder!! Baby has probably been holding it quite awhile. Still no food, but I am not worried about that at this point.
Next, I lifted him to the window hammock and he stayed there quite sometime - letting me scratch his chin and neck - while he seemed fascinated with the view outside. He watched cars go by, some folks taking a walk and lots of birds. A wasp came to the window and he acked at that!! Ack Ack!! Smacked that glass too, Boomer didHe will be a good bug catcher I can tell.
Anyway - I just wanted to let ya'll know that for a first day after that flight - Boomer seems to be doing great!! Maybe tomorrow he can meet the sirrah kitties - will see. *Someone* was meowing at the door and Boomer went over to sniff and was quite relaxed and interested.
Thanks allNext update....PICTURES!
I love how your siggy already has Boomer in there !!![]()
Thank you for keeping us posted as to Boomer's settling in! It sounds like he is adjusting pretty well, getting the feel for his new digs and enjoying all the scritches and lovins.
Strange way he drinks! But that's what makes him Boomer! won't he be happy when his meowmie and little brother come to stay!!

I
Debbie, thanks for the pictures and updates about Boomer. He's doing extremely well for a cat that has traveled as far as he has. I'm sure he'll back to his normal self in a few days.
When Pearl flew home with me it took her a several days before she'd really eat much of anything so I wouldn't worry about this just yet.
WELCOME HOME BOOMER!!! May you have many many more happy and healthy years in the United States.![]()
