Sucking up the sun
Recharging cat batteries
Must step around you!

is a cat's tail an
independent entity
or his other side?

dozing on the bed
my tail keeps time to music
that only i hear

you laugh at my rear
laugh if you want i have seen
you naked before

the tale of my tail
is very simple, let me
explain, it's "THE END"

a manx will never
know the fun of putting their
tail in owner's face

my tail tells a tale
every time i walk up to
you, pay attention!

on sunday i spent
the day sleeping in dad's lap-
while he watches sports

i roll over to
get comfortable, it's time
to scratch my belly

slowly my purr turns
into a snore that my dad
finds really funny

asleep my pink nose
ears, paws make me kinda cute,
but when i'm awake....

when i wake up i
look at dad, stretch and go in
search of my food dish
-------
i eat like a pig
drink and go to the potty
then i jump back on

i like sundays the
most, i get to sleep in the
best spot in the world

i woke up today
staring into the yellow
eyes of a vulture

huge yellow hungry
eyes, we stare at each other-
make your move creature..

a vulture dropping
my books on my head-LOOK OUT!
one more paperback...

yellow eyes on a
white vulture? i look closely-
i see white fur!

fur not feathers on
this creature perched right above
my pillows and head

i look closer and
see it's not a vulture-it's
my cat sitting there

just a silly cat
pretending he's a vulture
he just wants his food

I better wake up
and feed this cat, paperback
books can really hurt!

a vulture hovers
over my bed it drops glass
pearls and craves mangoes

hovering vulture
do you want me to get up
or turn into food

the well-fed vulture
changes beak to fur and digs
a lair in the bed

my vulture alarm clock
needs to be fed and watered
at least twice a day

late saturday night
mom and dad in high spirits
let's stay up and play

sunday afternoon
dinos snarl in the tv
too lazy to watch

at night, i cannot
run in my dreams-the cat is
asleep on my feet

[RICHARD]

a baby sphinx sleeps
at the foot of my warm bed
watching the night pass

noble cat, what do
you see at night? stars? planets?
do you watch me sleep?

do you listen for
sounds of the planet resting?
or neighborhood cats?

during the night i
hear you eating drinking and
patrolling the house

or do you just make
sure i wake up when you jump
back into the bed?

a cat materializes
where do you come from

in the middle of the
carpet sits Filou - his look
comes from fairyland
