    Matinees.
The last movie I went to see was the Cat and Dog movie where the White Cat wanted to take over the world.

I just don't care to go to movie houses at all.

Cell phones, rude AHs, kids and the content of the movies themselves.
Why do I want to see Dukes of Hazzard, Get Smart all over again?

They will be so many potty/fart and veiled adult jokes that they aren't funny.

    ----
I told the story about my GF's daughter's kids. My GF and I used the word 'UFFDA' which means something like "Oh Crap!" A teacher heard the kids use the term, reported it to the mom, the mom came back to my GF and was outraged that she used the term in front of the girls.

We babysat the girls one day and I was shocked, My dainty effing earlobes and eyes couldn't believe that they were watching an Austin Powers movie.
I commented that I thought it wasn't age appropriate and when my GF asked them to turn it off, they began so say that their mom let them watch it and began to tell me about the male sex aid in the movie.

Having 6-8 year old girls talking 'penis pumps' isn't my cup of tea.

Movies, by and large, really suck these days. Baby Mama, My Best Friend's Girl and other studio offerings are crap and not worth my time or money. The writing is juvenile, storylines are lame and all the commerical tie-ins make me avoid any patronage of the studios, writers and fast food/products that are placed in the flick as a veiled endorsement.

Thank god for the Discovery, History, Speed channels and my ability to read books.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the author of "Marley and Me" do a public service announcement for pets.

He made the point that animal ownership is something that needs to be taken very seriously.

He also made some very good points about the care and getting a pet.

I was very happy to see it!

    Two things I know are:

    1. NOONE gets my Joey pup, and he does not even speak Mexican (good or bad!)

    2. It really is not all the breeders fault.. If people are stupid enough to pay thousands of dollars for a chi, from a BYB, after watching a fake dog speaking movie, they should be ashamed.

Their are HUNDREDS of Chis in shelters every day.... More to come I am positive!
Actually it's a real dog they just animated it's mouth.

I caught the commercials selling the movie "BOLT" on Blue Ray Disc!

IT's a cartoon so I get the premise of the sales right away.- THey show a dog that shows up at the front door of a home, the dog fold shis ears back and puts on a sad look so the owners of the home go, "AWWWWWW!!!"

Then a cat shows up at the same door and the people yells something like, "UGH, A cat!" then throw a frying pan at the poor thing...

I know it is a kiddie cartoon, but why do they have to be so obvious and put a stupid scene like that in a movie.

Cats are the most trusting of animals and I can see when a cat could be taunted, hurt or tortured after some idiot kids watch a movie like that.

Richard - we saw the Beverly Hills Chihuahua movie - got the DVD for a dollar - and I think you would actually LIKE it! It has a great pro-adoption message, and features several other breeds than Chihuahuas as well. It is not at all what the previews would have you believe, and does not promote "fashion accessory" dogs in the least!

    ^^^^^ This

the previews and promoting for this movie were horrible I think and do NOT do the movie justice at all. the movie actually has a very good premise and like karen said it's not at all about the high stepping lifestyle of the fashion accessory dogs. maybe for the first few minutes of the movie but after that the movie actually has a point and is really pretty good.

On another note... I'm not at all for blaming movie makers for putting animals in their movies or making cute movies about animals just because people are stupid and think that if it's in a movie they should own it.

R.I.P my dear Sweet Teddy. You will be missed forever. We love you.

Naturally I loved it but.....it really was cute. All the dogs were adorable and it was a good story. I loved all the little guys at the end!!!

p.s Both of the dogs are exactly like both of my girls, even though one was a boy. Delilah is tomboyish. Chloe was a little diva and so is Daisy.

    Thanks Barry!
