Awwwww.....it is always so nice to see "one of our own" as Cat of the Day!! Congratulations, Peanut. I don't think I ever knew of your early life and the tragic lost of your friend. I'm so glad your mama was there to take you in! I can certainly see why she wanted you so badly. You are just a beautiful girl, and certainly don't look or act your age!! My Maine Coon girl, Mimi, is the same age as you, well almost! She'll be 13 in June.

Anyway, a big Congratulations, again, on being honored today! Hope you and Tubby (you have to share) get extra treats and playtime today!!!

Oh, and another surprise as I check out COTD! Who is it but my own little Peanut! Or should I say her Daddy's little Peanut!

Thanks everyone for all the wonderful comments. I had no idea Peanut would be coming up so soon after Tubby, so yes, I guess they'll have to go on tour together. And of course there will be a discount on pawographs to Pet Talkers. Don't know if they'll have the same agent since they'll be doing different activities. Peanut will go for the beauty circuit and Tubby will go for the action circuit.

Tubby was up and at 'em quite a bit last night chasing her around, so she had already gotten extra treats this morning, from me and her dad, but now I'm sure she'll get even more. I might even open the tuna tonight for her.

And here I was going to check out the COTD and then get some work done before I started checking out any of the posts for today. So much for that idea. My boss will have to wait because Peanut is COTD!!!!

Oh what a beautiful lady. And she is one of our very own. Debbie, I never knew the story of how you adopted Peanut after the loss of your friend. I would say you are the best friend ever. And Peanut rewards you constantly for giving her a loving home AND a super Daddy.

Oh Peanut - what a delightful story. You were certainly fortunate that you were adopted when you really needed a nice home, but now I think your Mommy and Daddy are the real lucky ones! You are sure giving them quality furrrtime!!!!

I see now why they call you "Peanut." And you are a survivor, thanks to the good hearts of your caretakers. Now, here I am, writing to you just like you would actually read and understand. Wait! I hear a "meow" at my office door. I get up. I open the door. A black cat strolls in. I speak to him just as if he would understand. The fact is, he does, though he may not know the literal meaning of the words. He understands. And so, too, I suspect, do you, Peanut, the beautiful Chicago cat who resides with Tubby.

Oh my gosh, I don't know how I missed the COTD yesterday, but I did!
It was so nice to see the famous Peanut there! We have been hearing so much about her lately, and isn't she beautiful?! She certainly has that M. Coon face and general look about her.
