    Good News for Shirley!

    "Hey there!"

    "Are you talking about me?????"

We have sold our house. Last week was the inspection. The buyer has two daughters who are in their early teens. They attended the inspection and spent the time out in the garden. They were chatting with my realtor about all the animals in the yard....squirrels, chipmunks and birds. The realtor told them that I feed them and there is a very special one.....Shirley. They asked her to find out what I feed everyone....especially Shirley...so they can continue to take care of them!!! I am so excited.

    So is Shirley!!!!

Everytime I read about the squirrel named *Shirley* I start to laugh.

But it is really comforting to know that Shirley and her friends will be well taken care of after you move.

Don't worry Sara, we have more squirrels here and possoms and raccoons and.........................well, I will let you find out.

Advice before you even set foot here........DO NOT try to feed the raccoons.

They can be a pretty crabby bunch.

All right! Great news!!! (Right, Shirley?)

Excellent news! I'm very glad Shirley and the others will enjoy the attention to which they have become accustomed.

Oh Sara you know how worried I have been about Shirley. This was such a happy thread to read this morning and I love the pictures. They are just precious!! Congrats to you on the sale of your home. It looks like you found the perfect family. Now here's hoping for a good move and easy transition for you, hubby and the E's.

Oh, that's great news for Shirley, the chipmunks and the birds. You must be relieved that the new owners have shown interest in feeding them. You'll miss especially Shirley, but you'll get a new crowd of them in your LA house, I'm sure.

Yay! I'm so happy that Shirley has a new family to take care of her.
Do they have any kitties for her to play with?

How wonderful that the new owners of your house will continue to care for your garden friends!

  14. Oh Gini....I am very familiar with raccoons and possums but what concerns me is a sign I saw in the neighborhood park..."Beware of Rattlesnakes!"

We begin our move on Septmeber 29 and will arrive in SoCal around the 5th or 6th of October.

So many things to get done in the meanwhile... I may be a bit scarse....

Oh, I'm so glad to hear this. Great news for Shirley & family.
I was worried about how she'd do without you.

P.S. Good luck with your move.
