    Rutherford will be having surgery.

Rutherford has a growth on his back, directly over his spine. It has grown and changed since first spotted 7 months ago. The vet feels it should be removed.

So, this Thursday, he will go under the knife. And then the lump will be biopsied.

He had pre-surgery blood work done, as well as a urinalysis (they do the 2 procedures as 1 "senior" profile) Should know the results tomorrow.

    Hopefully all will go well.

Hope all goes well with the surgery on thursday, and the lump won't be anything serious.

Sending lots of positive throughts to Rutherford and to you.

Praying that everything goes well with Rutherford.

I know it's always so scary having one of your babies going under the knife.

Prays and gentle hugs to Rutherford for a quick recovery.

    Rutherford is home.

He's still groggy-ish, can't walk a straight line. But wait until I get a picture of his insicion OMG!

The lump will be biopsied.....5 to 7 days until I know those results.

He had an xray while under.....he has bladder stoneS and a kidney stone! But since he has had the PU surgery, the vet feels they will not cause him any trouble. AND we don't want another surgery if we can help it (vet's thoughts, not mine)

He might have a little congestion around his heart, but the vet isn't too worried. Just something to keep a watch on.

Well, gotta go love on my boy Rutherford.

That must have been a large lump...though I can't tell with all the fluffiness in the before photos.

He is truly a handsome fellow, such a sweet face. Do all your kitties close their eyes in that 'loving' way?

I hope the tests all turn out fine, and that Rutherford will enjoy more energy and health than he has for a while.

Give him some gentle scritchies from me, please.
