    Debbie,

You're such a proud new meowmie! I love seeing how happy and excited you are with CJ. He's such a doll and must get used to the flashy box....we LOVE this boy already and need uppydates, um, at least daily. Did I mention illustrated uppydates?

I'm sure Peanut will come around. With such a gorgeos boy around, she'd be crazy not to.

I love that last petfinder picture...he's all curled up and touching his cute toes. Awww....I'm smitten already!!

That's quite cute that he's comfy with Terry too. I'm sure that's a wonderful comfort to him to have another man around.

In looking at that video last night, the way he walks and holds himself reminded me so much of my Jonah when he's walking around our apartment. So inquisative, but when there's someone to love, no more looking, just pets and purrs please!

I'm so happy for your fur and skin family.
    ...RIP, our sweet Gini...

All I know is Peanut better get off her high horse real soon because this boy is quickly taking hold of my heart.
Oh I love that! Jazz does that too and I had never seen it until her and thought it was the cutest. We called her the Riddler (from Batman) for months because of the question mark.

Give Peanut lots of time to settle down. I think you are on the right path with Feliway and make sure to give her lots of extra attention.

    lololol,

It reminds me of the old jingle -

Candy coated popcorn, peanuts and a prize....
THAT'S what you get in Cracker Jacks!!!

Or you can change his name to Jeep!

    CJ and he's 7 years old.......CJ 7!!!!

    Welcome to PT, CJ!!!

    Debbie,
IF YOU REMEMBER Cracker Jacks have always been messy....

The crumbs that you pull out of the bottom of the box stick to everything!!!!

Look at those pictures of him from Petfinder. No wonder you fell for him! And that video is too sweet! He loves those chin scritchies and can't quite decide how he wants to lay his paw!

Though I haven't seen any evidence of a talkative fellow!

I had forgotten that one Richard! Thanks for the link too. I was trying to describe to Randi yesterday what Cracker Jacks were, don't know if she understood or not so now she can see what they are!

I've got two things running through my head. First is the 7th inning stretch song that Sara mentioned in her post, and the 2nd is this idiotic childhood nursery rhyme:

Jack Sprat could eat no fat
His wife could eat no lean
And so betwixt them both you see
    They licked the platter clean!

Who in the world comes up with this stuff?! But I cannot for the life of me get it out of my head.

I noticed in the first video I posted you can sort of see how Cracker Jack holds his tail up - after the zoom in for the purring.

My battery is dead on my camera. Thank goodness I have a spare because it looks like I need to take lots and lots of pics tonight.

Oh my gosh! Debbie, you won't believe this ... but for years I never had this nursery rhyme right, and it was frustrating me! LOL!!! Somehow I must have learned it just from hearing it, instead of reading it. I learned the line

"And so betwixt them both you see" as (don't laugh)

"And so they twitched and turned you see"

Imagine my confusion all of these many years? Now I might can actually get off of my antidepressants!!!!

Congratulations on the new addition to your family!
Cracker Jack is very handsome, my first thought when I saw his photo was that he looked like an orange Eddie.
One good thing about his fur color is that he is half white so that when he sheds it will blend right in with your white carpet.
I hope that Peanut gets along with him, do you think he will try to lick her all the time like Tubby did?

Now that you have Peanut(s) and Cracker Jack, when are you going to take them out to the ballgame in the motorhome?
(That's the song that got stuck in my head when I read the title of this thread.)
    RIP sweet Samantha

I wish, Phred, I wish! Unfortunately the boss isn't in a very good mood today...so what's new?

Hopefully the snow will really start flying and I will be able to leave a little early.

  13. Well, at least now I know who Edwina was talking to on the phone last night! Something about being....oh now I understand a Thespian!

But Debbie....you had better keep an eye on any deliveries that arrive. I found my computer open to Amazon this morning. A quick check turned up...."Love/Hate -- Control Through Imbalance" "The Art of Intimidation" "Techniques of Dominance"......

sorry, that just struck me as funny.

I too would also like to welcome Cracker Jack to PT. I'm glad we will have a new furry face to talk about.

I'm sure Tubby is smiling at all of this!
