    Starting to get excited?!

I've been overly excited for a while.
And the fact that school is out soon is even more exciting!

Everytime I look at the papers my dad printed out for the campsite i get even more excited.

Paul and I will be there! We're driving out from Massachusetts.

Miss Hoppy will be staying home to guard the house. She is pretty convinced that all car rides end at the vet's office, so she happily stays home.

Steno, if you just want to bring something easy or stop at one of the grocery stores along the way to pick something up, that would be fine!! I know you are coming a long way and have plans that weekend. We will have plenty of food!!!

I will be there with Taggert, Jack and Snoopy. I think Carl will be coming. We are from Findlay.

I believe that Christy, Brian and Jasmine are coming. It is still not clear whether they are bringing Dakota, Destiny and Sierra or not. They are from Texas.

Amy has not responded but I believe that she and Ralph and Sadie, Cincy and Spot will be there also. They are from Toledo.

I imagine I will bring my potato salad and brownies again. And paper plates, napkins, forks.

I will volunteer to bring a couple kind of cookies - I can bake them before we head out ... or is there something else folks would like us to bring?

(Pssst - doggers - I promise one of the kinds will have no chocolate and be doggie safe for you guys)

I'm new to the gatherings, so forgive me if I ask a dumb
question. Does anyone keep track of what everyone's bringing
or does this always just work out ? I'd gladly bring needed stuff but haven't cooked "for company" in a long time.

Also, my Vet's office advised a Bordetella shot for Smokey. Do
you all think that's a good idea ? It's not a shot he usually gets
    but, if needed, I will.

Al ot of times people mention what they may be bringing, but things do sorta work out and there is ALWAYS TONS of food for everyone

Our dog's have their bordetella shot becuse it is required for dayschool, but the park does not require it. I would guess that being out inthe open air, even if another dog has kennel cough it is not going to be as easily transmitted in a few hours as it may be in the closed air of "kennels" Some say it is not that helpful because there is always new strains of the virus and so the vaccinations isn't a garuntee. I don't think it is one that would hurt, but if you chose not to getit I think Smokey would be fine.

YUMMY!!! I love that potato salad! You can't back out of it now, Diana. You've already put it down in writing

I'd like to volunteer to bring the hamburger, hot dogs and buns too. If someone could just give me an idea of how many hamburger patties I should make up. I'm not good at guessing that kind of stuff. Someone else has to do the grilling also. Every time I do any grilling the meat always winds up a tad bit on the crispy side. My guys have gotten so use to it now that they think that is how it is suppose to be....lol

    I'm counting down the days!...Robin
