He was soooo sweet, and was purring the entire time, even though I so rudely interrupted his nap.
I was reading this thread earlier today and left it open while I was at work. When I just read this post, I had forgotten that the discussion was on cats. I initially thought you were talking about a fireman, hehehehehe I kinda figured it was a cat when you go to the sckritchie fest under the bed

Skritchie fests under the bed!? So THAT'S what goes on at Thursdays. Wonder if they have any dragons, Aly?

Great pictures everyone! When does everyone officially "go home?"

Dragons....oh yes, there were A LOT of dragons. All colors, shapes, sizes AND some were even edible!! OH! And they helped cool our drinks!!!

And my sweet, innocent car, Sparkles, was deflowered by a blue, sticky one.

Oh, Mom...your girls are home now.

Sorry, Kay...I didn't answer your question...

Stace is leaving tomorrow at 9:35 a.m. its going to be a sad trip to the airport and I'm not leaving till she's safely in the air. I'm going to miss that girl!!

From there, I'm going to Gini's to be with Tonya and my new adoptive mom, Gini. More tears will be shed when we have to see her leave in a jet plane.

Laurie is leaving for San Diego on the same train Slick will be on to go visit Sara...Slick is coming back tomorrow evening so Gini can take her to the airport on Wednesday.

Wednesday, Gini, Richard and I will be on our own and back to the real world.

I'm not going to post any pictures until tomorrow night because I want it to last longer. Tomorrow will suck, I'll be saying goodbye to two of the bestest friends I've ever had.

OK, I'm going to start crying now...better go.
    ...RIP, our sweet Gini...

What a documentation! You could write a novel on the basis of all these different threads

With love (Richard and Lindsay) and drama (Richard and Sara), fun (Mario) and sex (the fabulous furry firemen - ok I have no information about furry as far as the firemen are concerned but we still have furry skritchie fests under the bed

I just can't wait for all the other pictures *waves sadly to Pacific Ocean*

A few things to remember about the Station 29 Gang ...

Captain Finn & his Merrie Band of Indians ~
    Work a 3-Platoon Shift = 24 hours ON Duty; then 48 OFF -
They worked Saturday, OFF Sunday & Monday; due back "ON" TODAY.

I haven't found out if they share their House (Station) with any
OTHER Crews - they might be a single-engine station -
OR share the House with a Ladder, a Med Unit, a Batallion Chief ...
there might be a BIG crowd - or just the Engine 29 crew.

    I'll send you a PM.

<pout, pout> I'm already home and back to the daily grind. <sniff, sniff>

The good news is Karen is supposed to be visiting us tonight! She flew from LA to Chicago Sunday night to do some touring of the Windy City, and is supposed to be flying back to Scotland tomorrow - Wednesday. So she will make her way to my work this afternoon, then we will head home to meet P & CJ then off for some din din. At least I get a little bit of an extension of our trip.....

I think it's GREAT that Slick will be joining Laurie on the train! We saw that train quite a few times and it's the perfect idea for her to be able to get down and meet the E's. I was totally amazed at the distance between Sara and Gini. Even though they're both in the LA area, it's quite a trip! However....has anyone warned the train staff....?

Oh, and I also know that Randi has taken a ton of pictures but is having trouble getting a photo editor installed on Sara's computer, so we'll have to wait until she gets home to see her pics. She is leaving Wednesday also, which she is not looking forward to.

    MORE "SHOUT OUTS"!!!

Thanks to Barbara, Koxka and Randi for sending our palates on a European Spirit Tour

Thanks to Sara for being a waitress. I laughed and appreciated her buzzing around with a stack of plastic cups under her arm, making sure everyone got a taste.

    Sara,
Did anyone give you a tip at least?

Thanks to Don and Terry, the official cooks of the 3rd annual BBQ!
I looked over at the both of them while they cooked and Don was holding court...Tongs and a drink in hand....

    T&P,
It was nice to meet you and Terry. I am glad you had fun and hope to see you both again, real soon...

    Debbie,
I have to tell you this...

I could see that you were having a blast. The last time I saw such wide-eyed wonder in a human being, I was watching a kid in a toy store. Yep, you didn't want to miss a moment...

Terry is a great guy-Before you left he shook my hand and gave me a hug like I was a long lost brother...

    Catland and her husband..

    Julie,
    You are such a liar.

You don't do parties??? Yeah sure,...... You are a hoot!!!!

When the both of them walked thru Gini's front door, Byron's eyes got huge.....ANOTHER DUDE TO TALK TO.....IT"S NOT A WOMAN/CAT thing........Little did he know....

There are two funny stories about CatLand and Hubby.....

We said our goodbyes after the party, they drive off and a few minutes later ....Here come their car again.........

Let this be a warning to everyone.
When you get street directions to a destination you can get back from where you came from by just turning the directions upside down.

I have more stories and will get to one and all of you.......

These are in no order of importance, they are just random and are popping into my mind as I review the past week.....

    P.S.
To the girls....I left my gifts at Gini's house-I did remember them as I drove away........Lindsey's picture was of no use without them.

Yea - easy for you to say. Try being the navigator (my job) after an entire afternoon and evening of Richard's slushies, Slick's famous Baileys, Randi's breakfast aperitif, and (someone's - sorry I don't remember who's) champagne.

After all that, reading a map isn't all that easy.

These are not the droids you were looking for

I've read references to an accident of some kind but a search comes up empty as to what actually happened. Are you okay? Is your car going to live? Do you have pictures?
